Email Marketer

We are looking for an email marketer to synergize with our PR and social media teams, craft engaging email content, implement captivating email campaigns through SendGrid, and maintain our email database. Your skills and dedication will further our mission and resonate throughout our community.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, organize, and execute targeted email campaigns using Sendgrid
  • Design and implement direct email marketing campaigns to improve metrics like open rate, click-through rate, conversion rate, etc.
  • Compose visually engaging, error-free email content and captivating subject lines for our campaigns
  • Manage the email list, including addressing unsubscribes, bounce rates, and inactive users
  • Create and maintain an email calendar to ensure timely delivery of campaigns
  • Work with other teams as needed, to source content, assets, or any other necessary inputs
  • Conduct device testing and proof email content including link accuracy prior to deployment
  • Uphold Ripple Foundation's brand identity through consistent and superior quality work

What we’re looking for:

  • A minimum of 3 years experience in digital marketing or email marketing
  • Reliable and dependable
  • Proficient in both written and verbal communication
  • An editorial background with honed copy-editing skills will be an advantage
  • Familiarity with HTML/CSS
  • Experience with SendGrid is highly desirable
  • Self-motivated, with a knack for problem-solving
  • Exceptionally detail-oriented and organized

Write It Workshop Facilitator

Join the Ripple Effect: Become a Facilitator at the Write It Workshop! Are you eager to ignite a passion for literacy in young minds? We’re always looking for volunteers to deliver our Write It Workshops on Zoom, aimed at children aged 8-14. Be a part of our vibrant team and make a real difference! 

 

Your Role:

  • Inspire and Educate: Conduct an engaging Write It Workshop Series on Zoom for kids aged 8-14.
  • Team Collaboration: Work alongside other dedicated volunteers in delivering a memorable workshop experience.
  • Training and Growth: Participate in an online training session with your peers to hone your skills.
  • Feedback Loop: Gather valuable participant feedback for social media and provide insights to the workshop manager.

Grant Researcher/ Writer

Embark on a rewarding journey with Ripple Foundation, an 100% volunteer-run Canadian educational charity dedicated to youth literacy. We are excited to seek a dynamic, enterprising, and adept Grant Researcher/Writer to join our dynamic team. This role offers the unique opportunity to combine your writing flair and drive for societal impact. You will collaborate with our Director of Partnerships, creating persuasive grant proposals to secure funding for Ripple's transformative community programs.

 

As our Grant Researcher/Writer, you will be entrusted with the following:

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conducting rigorous research to identify potential funding opportunities from diverse sources, including corporate, family, and charitable foundation grants.
  • Crafting and editing persuasive grant proposals that align with the objectives of grant-making organizations.
  • Establishing and managing a comprehensive funding opportunity database.
  • Preparing and collating necessary documentation for grant applications, including letters, proposals, budgets, and presentations.
  • Developing and maintaining professional relationships with grant contacts and program officers.
  • Managing a submission calendar to ensure all letters of inquiry, proposal deadlines, and reports are submitted in a timely manner.

What we’re looking for:

  • Excellent writing, analytical and research skills are essential.
  • Must be able to work well under pressure, synthesize information, and communicate compellingly and succinctly.
  • Proven proficiency in professional writing experience.
  • Self-motivated and detail-oriented with the ability to work independently.
  • 2-5 years of relevant experience.

Are you a creative person that loves to write? We are looking for students in grades 8-12 to share their opinions and experiences on various topics that matter to youth through engaging and authentic blog posts for Wave Blog.

 

As a Wave Blogger, your role and responsibility are to:

  • Write blog posts that are personal and authentic, reflecting your opinions and experience, but relevant to other students as well
  • Create original content in liaison with our editorial team
  • Write and edit concisely for clarity and accuracy
  • Share the blog using your own personal social media accounts
  • Suggest keywords for your post

Here’s what we’re looking for:

  • You are insightful, creative, and love to inspire others
  • You possess excellent communication and written English skills, including grammar and spelling
  • You pay attention to detail
  • You have exceptional organizational skills
  • You can commit to deadlines

Posts on our blog must fit one of the following categories:

  • Books: Book reviews or recommendations
  • Creative Writing: Blog posts that have to do with creative writing, whether it’s tips or inspirational

You can earn up to 5 volunteer hours per blog – this includes the writing deadline and any required revisions while working with our publisher and editor to finalize your piece. Ripple Foundation reserves the right not to publish any content that does not meet its required criteria.
