Toronto, Ontario – October 1st, 2021: National youth-education charity, Ripple Foundation, is calling all budding young authors to submit their short stories to its 10th annual, Canada-wide Kids Write 4 Kids creative writing contest between October 1, 2021 – March 31, 2022, for a chance to become published authors with all book sale proceeds donated to the winners’ charity of choice.

The Kids Write 4 Kids (KW4K) writing contest is the only competition of its kind that gives youth in grades 4-8 the opportunity to have their work published in paperback and ebook editions on Amazon, Google Play, iBookstore and Overdrive, before they reach high-school.

Once the contest submission window closes on March 31, 2022, a judging panel of accomplished Canadian authors, editors, publishers and previous contest winners will decide who takes the 2021 – 2022 KW4K contest crown, announced in June 2022. All proceeds from the sale of the winning books will be donated to a charity or organization of the winner’s choice.

“As we celebrate a full decade of our Kids Write 4 Kids creative writing competition, this milestone reminds us of how far the contest has come and the collection of awe-inspiring literary pieces that have come out of it,” said Ivy Wong, Founder of Ripple Foundation. “We have published 19 books from children across the county since our inception — with record-breaking entries in 2020 – 2021 — and we cannot wait to read this year’s contest entries to find Canada’s next great young writer.”
